Toyota Aygo Gets New X-Cite Version The Toyota Aygo has gained a new X-Cite version featuring a striking Cyan Splash exterior, as well as the Toyota Safety Sense package active safety technologies. On sale from June 2016 the new Aygo X-Cite combines a Cyan Splash exterior with piano black inserts for the frontal “X” graphic and rear bumper insert, while the front fender garnish and side mirrors are finished in Bold Black. The city car rides on 15-inch five-spoke alloy wheels finished in Glossy Black and fitted with Cyan Splash colored center caps. In selected European markets, the new Aygo X-Cite model will also be available as a bi-color variant featuring blacked out roof and A-pillars for an even more striking appearance. The design theme continues inside with a Cyan Splash finish for the air vent inserts, seat bolsters and upper door panels, as well as Bold Black inserts for the instrument panel, center console and gear lever surround. The gearshift knob and the inside door handles are finished in chrome. The Toyota Aygo is now also available with the Toyota Safety Sense set of active safety technologies designed to help prevent or mitigate collisions across a wide range of traffic situations. The safety package includes the Pre-Crash System (PCS), which detects other vehicles in front and reduces the risk of hitting them from behind, as well as the Lane Departure Alert (LDA) system, which monitors lane markings and helps prevent accidents and head-on collisions caused by leaving lanes. The automaker says the Toyota Safety Sense pack will be offered “at a highly competitive price to promote its adoption.”
